A border wall with Mexico, last week’s government shutdown, growing concerns over the national debt and veterans’ health issues were topics of conversation Tuesday as congressional Rep. Walter Jones attended two separate speaking engagements in Kinston. Jones, who represents North Carolina’s third congressional district, which covers a significant portion of Eastern North Carolina, is up for reelection this year.
