Consumer advocates pursue requiring NC insurers to reduce rates in wake of Trump tax cut

Consumers could get a slight break on their premium costs if insurers are required to lower their rates as a ripple effect of benefiting from the federal corporate tax rate cut. The Consumer Federation of America and Center for Economic Justice are asking all 50 state insurance commissioners to review the rates of insurers who do business in their state.
