FDA, USDA pledge to collaborate on biotech

The leaders of the Food and Drug Administration and USDA are pledging to increase interagency collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness on produce safety and biotechnology activities, while providing clarity to manufacturers. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue and FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D., signed the formal agreement today at the White House.
