U.S. Supreme Court issues partial stay in N.C. legislative maps case

In a rare event, the United States Supreme Court has issued a split order regarding the racial gerrymandering case against North Carolina's legislative maps. In an order on Tuesday, the Court issued a partial stay in the case, saying that revisions for legislative districts for Wake and Mecklenburg Counties are blocked, pending an appeal to the high court.
