Sexual Harassment Investigation Checklist

  • The investigation must be thorough, complete, and fair.
  • Take immediate action.
  • Talk to the person making the accusation right away.
  • Talk to any witnesses.
  • Talk to the accused.
  • Review any evidence.
    Example: Are there text messages that prove the complaint?
  • Review everything you have learned by talking with everyone
  • Make a decision and share your decision with the person who complained, the alleged harasser and any others directly involved.
