Design consultant Kim Bost has announced that she will be running as a Democrat for the North Carolina House of Representatives seat currently held by Rep. Jay Adams. Bost, a Hickory resident who does design consulting with hosiery businesses, said in a phone interview that she wants to focus her campaign on public education, the economy and health care.
“My father ran a Presbyterian camp, and I just grew up with just kind of being surrounded by values that I feel are kind of missing these days: doing unto others as you would have them do unto you and serving the least among us,” Bost said.
