Democrat Phillip Price officially became a candidate for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District Monday, filing with the state Board of Elections in Raleigh. Price, a McDowell County resident, became the first to file for the race, saying in a statement that he’s “thankful for the opportunity to give back to my community as I ask for their support and their vote for this important office in this critical election year.”
