Fixin' for solution to ag co-op tax incentives

Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch pledged Wednesday to advance an effort on Capitol Hill to fix a deduction in the tax overhaul that gave farmers huge monetary incentives to sell products to agricultural cooperatives over other forms of businesses. Those efforts have been underway since shortly after the Republican tax revamp took effect on Jan. 1, but a compromise has proved elusive.
