On January 4, 2018, the Trump administration released its new 5-year plan on oil and gas drilling and leasing.
It would give the oil and gas industry drilling rights in all but 1 of the 26 planning areas in the Arctic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
