Food and agriculture policy was the focus of a discussion at the annual winter meeting of the nation’s governors. Among the speakers were the president’s special assistant on agriculture and food assistance, and the head of the American Farm Bureau. Some of the issues covered were expanding U.S. trade, land grants for research, and encouraging more young people to enter the agricultural industry. The forum was led by Governor Matt Mead (R-WY).
