Tip for Your Operation: ATV Safety Rules

ATV Safety Rules  
1. Never operate an ATV without proper instruction.  
2. Complete an inspection of the ATV prior to each use.
3. Always wear PPE (eye protection, gloves, helmets, and boots).
4. No objects or materials should obstruct driver’s vision (clothing hoods, ice chests, water jugs, tools, parts.) 
5. ATV’s will not be used for any kind of towing unless manufacture allowed. 
6. Always have lights on.
7. Never ride on public roads.
8. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or other drugs – impair reaction time and judgment. 
9. Never carry a passenger - the ATV is designed to carry only one person.
10. Riding posture:  Head and eyes up looking ahead, hands on handlebars, feet on foot rests.
11. Never operate an ATV at excessive speeds. Go at a speed which is proper for the terrain, visibility conditions and your experience.
12. No headsets (radio, MP3 players, I-pods), or cell phones that impair hearing.
13. ATV’s are not toys.  Do not attempt tricks or stunts.
