For the first time, the NC Aquaculture Conference and Cultured Seafood Festival is opening for the public to learn more about seafood production in Eastern Carolina. This year marks the conference's 30th anniversary, but it will be the first time the Seafood Festival is opened to the public.  Aquaculture is the business of farming aquatic plants and animals, and event organizers say that North Carolina prides itself as being one of the most respected aquaculture producing states in the U.S.!
