E.U. weighs agricultural tariffs as retaliation for Trump’s steel tariffs

With a Trump tariff on imported steel and aluminum likely to be signed this week, the European Union has had enough. In retaliation for the steel and aluminum tariffs—blanket taxes of 25 percent and 10 percent, respectively—the European Commission released a provisional list of American goods that the E.U. would tax should these tariffs come to be.
