Syngenta and Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd. have closed on the sale of a portfolio of crop protection products to Nufarm Ltd. for $490 million. The sale, which was announced in October, took place in order for ChemChina to meet European regulatory requirements related to its $43 billion purchase of Syngenta. In buying the Swiss pesticides and seeds company, ChemChina had to get regulatory approval from a host of entities, including commissions in China and the U.S. For more of this story, click here.
