Pesticides are important tools for farmers that help limit pest (weed/insect/disease) damage in the agriculture operation. Many times excess or unused pesticides can sit idly by while the operation continues. These pesticides must be properly disposed of, not buried in a landfill. That is why programs such as the Pesticide Disposal Program of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) exist.
