China announces tariffs on US fruit

China has announced proposed tariffs on U.S. goods worth $3 billion – including a 15 percent duty on fresh fruit and nuts – in response to U.S. levies on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, according to various reports. US fruit categories affected by China's proposed tariffs include cherries, citrus, grapes, apples and pears.
