Officials with the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality are seeking public feedback on the draft stormwater permit for a contractor’s work yard to be built in Cumberland County as part of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project.

The permit will require the installation and maintenance of stormwater runoff control measures at the work yard to be constructed at 2808 Downing Road in Fayetteville. The permit requirements will help ensure stormwater runoff is treated prior to discharging to Locks Creek in the Cape Fear River Basin.

Comments addressing technical aspects of the draft stormwater permit are encouraged and most helpful in developing the final permit. All comments received by April 27, 2018 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

Written comments may be submitted by mail to: Stormwater Permitting, Attn: ACP Permit, 1612 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1612. Comments may also be submitted by email to: publiccomments@ncdenr.gov. Please be sure to include “ACP Stormwater” in the email’s subject line.
