Swine fuel helps power homes

Many homes in Eastern North Carolina may now be powered by an alternative source of energy that uses a mixture of natural gas and swine-derived biogas. A switch thrown last week by Duke Energy infused methane captured from Duplin County hog lagoons into a natural gas pipeline.
