Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) has, for nearly 11 months, been the sole “immovable object” opposing Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) reauthorization in the Senate. Supposedly, he’s placed a hold on PRIA to leverage opposition toward the EPA and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt regarding three topics: worker protection, certification and training, and the EPA’s review of chlorpyrifos.
