Work could begin soon on the largest solar farm in Lenoir County. Cypress Creek EPC in Durham recently received a permit from the county to build a $4.8 million solar project at 4700 N.C. 55, behind the Sandy Bottom Fire Department, according to county records.  Gary O’Neal, Lenoir County director of planning and inspections, said the new solar farm will be on 300 acres of land.
