General Farm Safety Training Topics
General safety is being aware of ones surroundings. Just by cleaning up spills, using the right equipment, and wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the work place, you can prevent harmful injuries.

*Slip, trips and falls are the most common workplace injuries. Prevent these injuries by cleaning spills, wearing proper work attire, reporting hazards and using the right tool for the job.

*When using a ladder be sure and place it on even surfaces, maintain three points of contact and never overreach.

*Beware of electrical hazards. Avoid broken cords, water around power tools and overloaded outlets.

*If you come in contact with a power line or one falls on your equipment or vehicle, stay inside and remain calm until help arrives.

*Machine guarding prevents contact of worker’s body with dangerous moving parts.
