Tobacco manufacturers reach agreement on next phase of corrective statement rollout

The U.S. Justice Department and the Big 3 tobacco manufacturers have reached an agreement on the next phase of rolling out corrective statements ordered by a federal judge in 2006. A brief legal update, known as a minute order, was filed Wednesday in the 19-year-old case. It affects the websites and cigarette packs of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., Philip Morris USA and ITG Brands LLC.
