The invective between state Sen. Ben Clark and opponent Naveed Aziz for the Senate 21 seat has been so fierce that one could conclude they belong to different political parties. But they’re both Democrats. Clark defeated Aziz two years ago. Their rematch in this year’s May primary could end up at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. They have accused each other of lying. Clark accuses Aziz of trying to steal the election.
