Forest landowners in North Carolina are invited to attend the 2018 Stewardship Forestry Recognition Program and Awards Luncheon on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Sheraton Four Seasons Hotel, 3121 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC. The program will include exhibits, networking, guest speakers, luncheon and the documentary, America’s First Forest. This will be a day to celebrate and highlight the great work that landowners are doing in North Carolina to enhance their forests for wildlife, soil and water quality, timber production, recreational opportunities, and natural beauty.

This is a free event for forest landowners statewide, however a advanced registration is required to ensure enough lunches are ordered. Visit the website at http://go.ncsu.edu/celebrate-stewardship

NC Forest Service Stewardship program is a cooperative effort to help woodland owners realize the objective of managing their forests for the benefits they desire. The program is voluntary, and participants receive recognition for achievements in promoting total forest resource management. To learn more about the program and how to obtain your own forest stewardship plan (and qualify for lower county taxes) visit the NC Forest Stewardship website.
