Renewable energy: North Carolina again ranks second to California in solar power

North Carolina continues to be a leader in solar power. The state ranks behind only California for adding the most solar energy in 2017, according to a report out last week by The Solar Energy Industries Association. North Carolina has surged in recent years, largely driven by "utility-scale development," Sean Gallagher, SEIA's vice president of state affairs, said Wednesday.
