Pork production is good…too good for our current American consumption. That’s why exports are so important to the pork industry.. Iowa State University economist Dr. Dermott Hayes says we really depend on exports to consume the production increase.
North Carolina exports about $4 billion in agricultural products each year, and Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler is hoping to grow that number.
