NCDA&CS to host export seminar in Greensboro May 24-25

WHAT/WHO: North Carolina exports about $4 billion in agricultural products each year, and Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler is hoping to grow that number. The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will host a two-day seminar tailored for local farmers and food businesses interested in learning more about exporting their products to world markets.
Former U.S. Ambassador James Cain will provide the keynote address for the event. Commissioner Troxler also will address attendees. Additional panel discussions will be held on various topics including exporter resources, shipping logistics and finances. There also will be briefings on world markets and a panel discussion from current N.C. ag exporters.
