Randy Edmundson of Edmundson Produce Farm figures he's only seen Shaws Creek jump its banks 10 times in close to three decades. This year, it flooded three times in a month, the wettest May on record. With his wife, Carolyn Edmundson, he farms 110 acres of leased land, the majority on the French Broad River, the rest on the swollen Shaws.
