GAO: USDA should be more transparent about animal research

USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service should improve its public reporting of animal research data, such as how the agency compiles annual reports from its facilities, and should develop a timeline for defining birds that are not bred for research, according to a new report from GAO.
