House of Raeford Farms said plans to open a new poultry processing facility in Wallace, N.C., this summer are on track.
House of Raeford officials vowed to rebuild in Wallace after a massive fire ruined the facility in February 2017. The new plant will feature state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology, they said.

“We have been working diligently with our partners to rebuild our operations in Wallace, and are excited to officially open our doors this summer,” House of Raeford CEO and Owner Bob Johnson said in a news release. “House of Raeford Farms is thankful for our partners, employees, farmers and our community for their support, patience and commitment to rebuilding together.”

House of Raeford is accepting applications for hourly production positions in a variety of departments. Applicants should visit the company's website for more information, or attend the June 11 job fair from 10am to 5pm at 253 Butterball Rd., Teachey, N.C. 28464.

New hires will join several returning employees, some of whom have worked at the Wallace facility since it first opened in 2006, the company said.

House of Raeford said it will announce official opening plans when they are finalized.
