Senate Democrats submit bill for $8.80 an hour state minimum wage

Raising the state minimum wage by 21 percent — from $7.25 to $8.80 — is the goal of a bill introduced Tuesday by three Senate Democrats. A co-sponsor of Senate Bill 806 is Sen. Paul Lowe, D-Forsyth. Lowe could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
