The disconnect between farming and ranching, and the consumers these industries serve, is only growing wider. The two recent lawsuits against hog farmers in eastern NC, and the many which are waiting for court dates, only serve to re-emphasize that many whose own communities depend on farming for their livelihood no longer have an understanding or appreciation for what farmers and ranchers do everyday. So how DO you explain livestock and the environment to consumers? Bob Cervera reports.
