 Great American Snacks Inc. will be laying off 84 employees at its facility in Monroe, North Carolina, according to a letter to the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Great American Snacks said in the letter that it will begin laying off employees Sept. 15, or within two weeks after that date. The company is permanently closing its Monroe facility.
