Economic development professionals from 65 North Carolina counties, including Henderson, will convene on Pinehurst later this week for a conference on the pillars of rural prosperity. The conference will explore how five factors — workforce, infrastructure, education, health and leadership — shape economic outcomes in the state’s rural communities. The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina announced in a July 5 news release that the July 12-13 conference, “Energizing Rural North Carolina: The Building Blocks of Successful Economic Development”...
