Iredell growers, milk producers praise law changes as 'good deal'

Some Iredell County farmers say they are relieved after state lawmakers made it harder for citizens to file nuisance lawsuits against neighboring agricultural and forestry operations. The new restrictions in the N.C. Farm Act (Senate Bill 771) are a “good deal” for farmers, said Doug Carrigan, owner of Carrigan Farms in Mooresville.
