Wilmington, New Hanover officials ask Chemours to hold public meeting

New Hanover County and Wilmington officials still want Chemours to hold a face-to-face meeting with the area’s residents, according to a letter sent to the company Thursday. Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo and New Hanover County Chairman Woody White wrote, “We think it is important to continue the dialogue and outreach over the status of efforts to remove GenX and related per-fluorinated (PFAS) compounds from our drinking water.”
