World Equestrian Games: Kentucky still feeling impact from 2010 event

Preparations for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, took three years, and officials say the impact is still being felt in the only other city in the United States to host the international event. Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring will be the site of the largest horse event in the world Sept. 12-23. Organizers believe it could be the biggest sporting event in North Carolina’s history.
