The nicotine levels of traditional cigarettes are in the spotlight as the Food and Drug Administration prepares to decide whether to further tighten regulations on the products. The FDA has said it will pursue any nicotine product standard “using the best available science to determine a level that is appropriate for the protection of the public health.”
