Officials are urging residents to take precautions after Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) was found in mosquitoes in central Brunswick County, according to a release from Brunswick County. The disease was found July 18 in a species of mosquitoes that circulates EEE in the wild bird population. The species does not typically bite humans, according to the release.
