Beaufort Wine and Food organizers committed a donation of $100,000 to the new Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center at Carteret Community College campus. BFW's executive director, Lindsay Parker, delivered the first $33,000 check on Tuesday. A CCC spokesperson said the donation will fund the outdoor patio portion of the building. It is tucked between live oak trees and overlooks the Bogue sound. The 4,000 square foot patio will be equipped with an outdoor kitchen for social events and will be home to Escoffier Dinner Series.
