This summer’s N.C. Wine Summit at UNCG included a panel discussion on “Perceptions of North Carolina Wines.”
Julia Hunt — the sommelier who put the Quaintance-Weaver restaurant/hotel chain on the wine map and is now with American Premium Beverage — was one a panelist. Quality is rising industry wide, she said, but winery performance remains inconsistent vintage to vintage.
