NC Rural Center announces new board members

Chef & the Farmer’s Ben Knight, of Kinston, and BEST NC’s Brenda Berg were named to the NC Rural Center’s Board of Directors at the organization’s June meeting. The Center also announced the addition of Bronwyn Lucas as the new director of leadership.
Based in Raleigh, the NC Rural Center is a 30-year-old nonprofit that works to develop, promote, and implement sound economic strategies to improve the quality of life of rural North Carolinians. The Center serves the state’s 80 rural counties, with a special focus on individuals with low to moderate incomes and communities with limited resources.
