German plant science firm BASF has closed on a massive $9 billion asset buy from Bayer – a move that transfers four facilities and over 360 Bayer employees into BASF’s growing Research Triangle Park footprint. With the addition of Bayer businesses such as vegetable seeds, canola and its entire Liberty herbicide unit, BASF's RTP presence is completely changing.
