Immigration policies will likely be a hotly debated topic in this year’s midterm elections. Debates have been fueled in part by President Donald Trump’s zero tolerance policy on immigration, including the separation of thousands of children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border this year. Trump also has pushed to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a program that began under the Barack Obama administration that allows some people who entered the U.S. illegally to stay here.
