Polk County passes resolution favoring farmers after lawsuits

Polk County commissioners voted Monday night to formally voice support for North Carolina swine farmers with a resolution they hope the entire state will take up in the face of costly nuisance cases. The resolution states the board’s fear that a recent court decision in the eastern part of the state could set a precedent and end up hurting farmers all across North Carolina.
