Victor Suarez, who has been named as the new [Undersecretary of Food Self-Sufficiency] by President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), has said that genetically modified (GMO) corn will be banned from Mexico when the new government takes office. “There is no possible doubt about the ban on transgenic (GMO) corn,” Suarez said, during a Transgenic Corn and The New Government forum.
