The Briefcase: Reynolds faces $5.5 million in damages in lawsuit related to Engle decision

R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. has been handed $5.5 million in compensatory and punitive damages, combined, in the latest jury verdict in an Engle progeny lawsuit. The case involving Michael Olson was tried in the Fourth Judicial Court of Florida, according to Courtroom Video Network. It took place from Aug. 15 to Tuesday.
