The 2018 World Equestrian Games are bringing hundreds of thousands from all over the world to the Tryon area, but while local businesses are seeing new faces, they’re not seeing the sort of added business for which some had prepared. Restaurants in Columbus like El Campesino and The Rural Seed stocked up on supplies and made sure to have extra hands on deck for the first weekend of the games this week, and so far have seen customers from countries including France, England, Brazil and Saudi Arabia, but haven’t necessarily been much busier than normal.
