USDA's trade assistance program includes plans to buy up $1.2 billion worth of meats, crops, fruits, nuts and other products from farmers hurt by retaliatory tariffs. So what's on the shopping list? A graphic from Pro DataPoint's Taylor Miller Thomas highlights the 29 commodities the agency plans to purchase and redistribute to programs like food banks and school lunches.

Pigging out: Pork is at the top of the list. USDA intends to purchase nearly $559 million worth of the commodity, and that's on top of another $290 million in direct payments hog farmers are slated to receive under the main element of the trade relief package.

USDA is also set to buy $93.4 million worth of apples, $85.2 million in pistachios, $84.9 million in dairy products and $55.6 million worth of fresh oranges. At the bottom of the list are grapefruits ($700,000), apricots ($200,000) and figs ($15,000).
