 Parts of an ambitious plan to pull off the FEI World Equestrian Games in less than half the usual amount of time for site construction and event preparation appear to be washing down the drain. The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality has issued Tryon Equestrian Partners multiple notices of violation for exceeding water pollution standards and allowing sediment to pollute creeks surrounding the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Polk County.
